Myanmar Christian Assembly

by David Jacobson   SOC Director

In 2008 we were invited to teach the SOC in Bangkok, Thailand at a Burmese fellowship located in that city. It was our first visit to this church and God moved in such a powerful way that Bro. Daren stated that it was the most impacting move of the Spirit in his fourteen years of teaching the School of Christ.

The Spirit of God moved in on the 2nd lesson and He never left till the end of that week. Lives were so impacted that we were invited back the following year to teach for 2 weeks and after that for 3 weeks.

We not only taught the school; but also taught the Sunday school and preached in the Sunday services.

This woman goes to the local hospital and prays for the sick. Her healing record is so strong that almost all have been healed that she has prayed for.

Pastor Chowkee (right) conducts weekly baptism services because of the number of souls being saved at the church. For a long time, an average of 10 per week were being baptized as there were so many salvations. Due to moving to a new location, the number has decreased to 2 or 3 for now. They believe that as soon as they get established, more souls will come again.

Everyone in the church has an active role as the youth lead worship and the children are ministered to as well.

This church is experiencing revival and chooses to use the SOC as their main training program. Now they have asked us to train their graduates to be able to teach the SOC so they can send them out all over Burma and Thailand.

In Christ,
David Jacobson
